Energy terminal

Gävle Energy terminal supplies Arlanda airport with its plane fuel needs through two daily train shuttles. The energy port is one of Sweden’s largest with all the large petroleum and chemical companies represented.  The energy port handles mainly petrol, diesel, heating oils, ethanol, vegetable oils, chemicals for the primary industries and plane fuel. A shared pipeline network connects the various oil companies’ depots with the docks. The pipeline from the docks to the respective oil depot is owned and maintained by Port of Gävle.
 
Permitted depth (dock 27): 12.20 metres
Maximum ship length (dock 27): 245 meters
Permitted depth (dock 1): 8.80 metres
Maximum ship length (dock 1): 185 meters

Storage volume: Approximately 850 000 cubic metres, divided between some 150 tanks as well as six underground storage caverns with a total storage volume of approximately 750 000 cubic metres
